Deb Skarda

MSN, MBA, CPC, PCC, CDTLF

Deb brings over 30 years of experience as a leader and coach supporting leaders around the world who are striving to create more successful and fulfilled lives, careers, and organizations.

When she partners with leaders, Deb’s goal is to elevate their impact and enhance their success formula through her coaching and consultation. She has found success leading people from various cultures and countries around the globe, helping them navigate the challenges of highly matrixed organizations. This includes thriving in environments where ongoing change is the norm.

To understand the passion Deb has for people, it is important to understand that she did not start her professional journey in the boardroom, but in the halls of a hospital as a critical care nurse. Her love of people and learning how best to care for them and what they need served her well as she also developed invaluable on-the-ground expertise in the front lines of the healthcare industry.

She then found success in the pharmaceutical industry and has held senior leadership positions at Abbott, Hospira, and AbbVie. She knows what it is like to be responsible for nearly 100 employees and to manage an expense budget of more than $350 million. Deb can speak with experience when she coaches a client through mergers, divestitures, product launches, organizational redesign, new system and process implementation, communication strategies, operational efficiency, and overall culture and engagement.

Deb believes that we are all more successful, satisfied, and happy when we bring our whole selves to how we lead and how we live. To do this she helps leaders identify their values, hidden triggers, and unrealized opportunities. Deb lives in Wisconsin, between Chicago and Milwaukee, and enjoys various outdoor activities with her family and friends.

Help Your Leadership Team find Clarity.

Senior leadership teams often struggle to create clarity about decision-making authority. Who is responsible (R)? Who is accountable (A)? Who is consulted (C)? Who do we keep informed (I)?

Our Leadership Team Coaches introduce the RACI matrix to help teams answer these questions and commit to a new way of working together.

Download our RACI template, which includes a sample for c-suite leaders.
